What good is a warranty if your plants die by the time you get your replacement unit?

Don't think this can happen to you? Here's a review I found on one of my competitor's Amazon listing. This is probably more the reality of the warranty game.

Most manufacturers offer an extended replacement warranty on their products but have you ever gone through the process of making a warranty claim? How long will it take to get a replacement unit? Who pays the cost of shipping? Generally customers must file a warranty claim, ship the damaged unit back to the manufacture for inspection to determine the validity of warranty claim. If you warranty is approved your claim must be processed and a new unit shipped out (usually from China). This process can take up to a few weeks. On top of that what happens if your warranty claim is denied? Now you’ve waited weeks while your plants wither only to find out that your warranty has been denied. The real question is what happens to your crops during this waiting period? The benefits of waiting for a so-called “free” replacement light becomes insignificant compared to the value of the crop that gets destroyed while waiting.
