Seperate VEG and BLOOM switches - Explained

Seperate VEG and BLOOM switches - Explained

A lot of people get confused when using a grow light that comes with separate "VEG" and "BLOOM" switches. Ironic that manufacturers included this option without really explaining how to use it.
Naturally you would think when your plants are in the "Vegetative Growth" stage that you would turn ON the "VEG" switch. This is correct. The confusion arises in the "Bloom" stage where without proper knowledge you would naturally turn ON the "BLOOM" switch and turn OFF the "VEG" switch. DO NOT DO THIS. Even though plants are in their bloom stage and thrive off the "RED" light emitted by the Bloom mode they still require some blue and green light to really thrive. Always have both switches ON (VEG and BLOOM) once you plants are in the Blooming stage. It will cost more in electricity but your final harvest will reward you!
